EYFS framework information sheets
We created these sheets with the aim to support our parents in understanding the EYFS framework. The sheets aren't exhaustive but aim to give some ideas of what to look for.
Download copies of the sheets below! We've uploaded them as photos to make it easy to resize and print them, or so you can add them to other documents.

Settling into school
We continuously strive to make transition into school better each year. During the Summer term, we worked with our local cluster group on ideas to promote school readiness and then we produced a leaflet for parents, pre-schools, children's centres and nurseries on 'School Readiness'. Our cohort of children have been amazing, displaying high levels of independence and responsibility as well as the ability to dress themselves and manage their own personal hygiene. After meeting as a cluster group this week, the general settling in period across all our local schools is just as positive.

Monster's first day at school!
Reading to your child at home
We all know how important it is for children to listen to stories regularly so we made this handout to encourage parents to read to their children every day!

Explaining how the EYFS works!
We are always looking for ways to involve the parents in their child's learning but we realised this is made harder if they don't understand how they learn through play. We made this handout to explain how our EYFS has worked over the last few days!

Stay and Play!
To celebrate the end of our half-term we had a stay and play session. We invited parents, friends and families to come and play for an hour and to have fun seeing what we get up to at school. For this session we provided a focus on practical maths activities to tie into a whole-school maths focus after the holiday!
